CAT Side Dump

This CAT side dump was reverse engineered by us for a customer who brought us a cracked original bucket made by Balderson for CAT, USA. The application required by the customer was for loading large rocks blasted out from the mountainside to make a tunnel and the original bucket was designed only for general purpose use. We reduced the bucket width from 3.5 m to 3 m and strengthened the bucket structure by using high tensile ST 52 steel as well as 400 BHN steel and also increased the plate thickness. This bucket was still in use more than 5 years later.
